One wonderful aspect of living in Delaware is how quickly we can explore the Eastern Shore, Maryland. It is such a beautiful region near the Chesapeake Bay. I’ve been dreaming of spring motherhood portrait sessions, and this sweet hour with Corinne and her two children on the little beach at Elk Neck State Park in North East, Maryland gave me life after the quiet and cold of winter.

I wanted to share a full session slideshow here so clients can get a sense of what I produce after an hour together, and what will pop in your inbox a few weeks after our session when the photos are edited and ready to be shared!

I love photographing children in natural outdoor settings, if we are not photographing them in their own homes or yards. Almost every child relaxes when presented with a wide open space to explore, water to dip their toes into after a long winter, collecting treasures like stones and shells and walking sticks. The portrait session does not feel like work, it is not forced. The children are at play, happy to be discovering something new in nature, and they naturally present the most beautiful opportunities for organic, natural portraits.
