Family sessions combine my expert, playful posing skills with magical use of light to create images of your family that you will adore for years to come. The kids will have an amazing time exploring a favorite park or beach. Family sessions last around an hour or until the children are slowing down. I include a mix of posed portraits and lots of opportunity for my signature connected candids.

Session planning
Booking your session is as easy as paying a deposit to reserve a space on my calendar. I take care of finding the perfect location for the most flattering light, and offer complimentary outfit styling to make wardrobe planning simple. You also have access to my growing client closet!
Session day magic
My priority is keeping everyone relaxed and connected, while allowing kids to be kids, so I can capture authentic interactions that are the core to my signature style. We'll spend about an hour together at the session.
Simple Online Gallery
Life is too busy to deal with meeting for an in-person ordering appointment, and I want you to have all the digitals I create from our session.
Within a few weeks of your session, you will be able to view your edited images from the comfort of home in a beautiful online gallery, download all the digitals, and order any professional prints and heirloom quality albums that you'd like.

Home is where the heart of the family is, and I adore capturing the joy of the family in your own space.
I'm not going to lie, I do a little happy dance when families inquire asking if we can do the session at home. New home? New puppy? Kids are more comfortable at home? Want to pour cocktails and jump in your pool? YES. Let's do it!

Yes, you are welcome to print images on your own. If you do this, I recommend making sure that the printer does not color correct the images (many automatically do this.) I also recommend looking for a high quality printer. While 10 cent prints sound great in theory, the cheaper printing quality often won’t do my images justice. Paper quality, color correction and a handful of other factors play a big role in the way your prints turn out. This is one of the reasons why I LOVE offering high quality prints to my clients.

Can I print the images on my own?

While I don’t guarantee an exact number of images, I do make sure we capture your family thoroughly. Most families should expect to receive at least 70+ edited images following their session (often more but each family dynamic is different!).

We will be in close communication leading up to your session if the weather looks questionable! We will either move the session time on that day, or reschedule for another day.

Trust me, I've been at this a LONG $%# time, and there is really nothing a child can to do phase me one bit! We won't be sitting in one place for long, and my sessions involve lots of play and movement. I'm also incredibly skilled at reading the vibe of each family and matching your children's energies.Promise you, even the sessions that feel most chaotic we always create so many amazing images together!

What if my child won't cooperate?

I typically plan up to an hour for family sessions and up to 2 hours for newborns. While we likely don’t need to be shooting this entire time, this does give us the flexibility for location changes, active children, and time to warm up.

How long should we plan for the session to take?

I will curate a beautiful, full gallery combining both posed gently family images as well as plenty of guided candids. I do my standard editing and retouching on all images in the gallery. This means that if there are any obvious blemishes that should be removed (such as a bump from the tumble your toddler took that morning,) I’ll take care of it! If you need anything custom edited, just discuss it with me in advance so I can let you know what is realistic and if there might be an additional cost (This is very rare).

Do you include all the digitals?

Yes! I have a location guide that I will send you when you book, so you can see my preferred locations in the Philly/Main Line/Delaware regions. Of course I am always open to new ideas and working in your homes.
