Family Sessions
After nearly two decades photographing families, I’ve learned that the most meaningful images don’t happen by accident. They’re shaped through thoughtful direction - guiding families into moments that feel natural, connected, and visually cohesive.
During a session, I’m actively directing while staying tuned into how your family responds. I’ll guide you into beautiful, natural interactions—then adjust as energy shifts, kids wander, or moments take an unexpected turn.
You just need to follow my lead and be present with the people you love the most.
Children are encouraged to move, explore, and engage with one another, while I gently shape the pacing to support images that feel cohesive and effortless. Sessions typically last about an hour and include a balance of artfully guided portraits and organically unfolding moments.
You may have just found your forever photographer.
"SHE DOESN'T JUST PRODUCE PHOTOS, SHE MIRRORS LOVE and BEAUTY IN THE PUREST FORM."
She truly captures the essence of my family, and is an absolute delight to work with. I trust her, and she has NEVER let me down... our experience has only gotten better, which continues to deepen my reverence for her work.

Maybe you’re worried about what you’ll wear, whether the kids will cooperate, or wishing you could lose a few pounds before photos.
Trust me, I have three kids who live in activewear and bicker like crazy, and no matter how often I work out, the scale doesn’t budge. And yet, I feel sentimental about how quickly time is slipping away. I realize I’m hardly ever in the photos, except for the random cell phone snapshot my husband takes where somehow I now suddenly have four chins.
I’ll help guide wardrobe choices, gently prompt interaction with your children, and design artwork that reflects the love you feel every day—but don’t always see yourself in.
I’m so glad you found me.
Booking is simple. Once you reserve your date with a deposit, I’ll guide you through location selection, wardrobe planning, and all the details that make your session feel effortless.
My priority is keeping everyone relaxed and connected while allowing kids to be kids. We’ll spend about an hour together, with gentle guidance woven into moments of play and connection.
Within a few weeks, you’ll receive a beautifully edited online gallery where you can download all of your images and order professional prints and heirloom albums. Life is too busy to deal with meeting for an in-person ordering appointment, and I want you to have all the digitals I create from our session.
Home is where the heart of the family lives, and I truly love photographing families in their own space. There’s something incredibly meaningful about documenting everyday life where it actually happens—where kids feel most at ease, routines unfold naturally, and memories are layered into the walls.
I won’t pretend otherwise—I do a little happy dance when families ask about an in-home session. A new home. A new puppy. Kids who are simply more comfortable at home. Want to pour cocktails and jump in the pool? Yes. Let’s do it.
I thrive on the creative challenge of photographing spaces that hold meaning, especially when those spaces are filled with stories that are still being written.
Curious what an in-home family session could look like for you?
My calendar fills extremely fast for Spring, Summer and Fall (I am so thankful to you all for that!) Definitely reach out early to get a spot!
Trust me, I've been at this for so many years, both as a mother of three and a professional portrait photographer, and there is really nothing a child can do to fluster me one bit! We won't be sitting in one place for long, and my sessions involve lots of play and movement. I'm also incredibly skilled at reading the vibe of each family and matching your children's energies.Promise you, even the sessions that feel most chaotic we always create so many amazing images together!
I typically plan up to an hour for family sessions. While we likely don’t need to be shooting this entire time, this does give us the flexibility for location changes, active children, and time to warm up. Contrary to popular belief, I get the best images with families in full sessions where we allow time and space for movement and connection.
Yes! I want you to have the full gallery I have created for you. I will curate a beautiful, full gallery combining both gently posed family images as well as plenty of guided candids. I do my standard editing and retouching on all images in the gallery. This means that if there are any obvious blemishes that should be removed (such as a bump from the tumble your toddler took that morning,) I’ll take care of it! If you need anything custom edited, just discuss it with me in advance so I can let you know what is realistic and if there might be an additional cost (This is very rare).
While I don’t guarantee an exact number of images, I do make sure we capture your family thoroughly. Most families should expect to receive at least 70+ edited images following their session (often more but each family dynamic is different!).
We will be in close communication leading up to your session if the weather looks questionable! We will either move the session time on that day, or reschedule for another day.

Yes, you are welcome to print images on your own. If you do this, I recommend making sure that the printer does not color correct the images (many automatically do this.) I also recommend looking for a high quality printer. Paper quality, color correction and a handful of other factors play a big role in the way your prints turn out. This is one of the reasons why I LOVE offering high quality prints to my clients.
Yes and yes! You can email or text me during the planning stage so I can assist you! My goal is for your family to feel yourselves, and I love to help you decide what is most photogenic.
Yes! I have a location guide that I will send you when you book, so you can see my preferred locations in the Philly/Main Line/Delaware regions. Of course I am always open to new ideas and working in your homes.

A Late Summer Stone Harbor Session
Life is busy, especially with little ones, and for some of us, DIY does not come easy. There are hundreds of family photos to do something with. I offer complimentary frame and album design so you can spend more time enjoying the images we create and less time feeling guilty that you never got around to making last year's album.
