My lifestyle newborn sessions are so relaxed in the comfort of your own home, where your baby's story all begins. With gentle posing and lots of family cuddles, we take time to capture all their perfect and tiny details, the thoughtfulness put into their nursery, and the early bond you're developing with your baby- whether it be snuggled as a new family in your bed, soothing your baby to sleep in the family rocking chair, or surrounded by the joyful chaos of other siblings or furry friends.
The newborn session can take up to 2 hours of shooting time, leaving plenty of time for meeting all of baby's needs.

Session planning
Booking your session is as easy as paying a deposit to reserve your due date on my calendar. We can plan via email or phone, whatever you prefer. I offer complimentary wardrobe styling to make things easy on you!
Session day magic
My priority is keeping everyone relaxed and connected, always meeting baby's needs first during our time together. I will guide you into comfortable, organic poses that highlight your home and early bond with your baby. Pets and siblings are always welcome!
Simple Digital galleries
You're busy enough with a new baby to deal with in-person ordering appointments or choosing favorite images. Let's keep this as simple as possible- my packages are all inclusive.
Within a few weeks of your session, you will be able to view your edited images from the comfort of home in a beautiful online gallery, download all the digitals, and order any professional prints and heirloom quality albums that you'd like.

I love working with toddler siblings as much as I love working with pets. They add such a playful element to newborn sessions!
I include a combination of lifestyle family photos that include the immediate family (any pets or siblings are always welcome too) as well as spending time capturing the details of just your baby. Every baby is a little different in how they will settle for their baby alone portraits, but I generally aim to capture the baby on a white backdrop in simple and natural posing to include some solo portraits and baby details in your gallery.

Do you do posed newborn photos?

While I don’t guarantee an exact number of images, I do make sure we capture your family thoroughly. Most families should expect to receive at least 70+ edited images following their session (often more but each family dynamic is different!).

How many images will I receive?
q:
When you book, your due date goes on my calendar. Then when the baby is born, you just reach out ASAP to let me know so we can set a session date in the first few weeks after birth! Babies can be photographed at any age, and it is a bit flexible based on how you are feeling after birth as to how soon you'd like your session. I love working with younger babies under 3 weeks, but I also enjoy the eye contact of older babies!

Yes and yes! You can email or text me during the planning stage so I can assist you! My goal is for your family to feel yourselves, and I love to help you decide what is most photogenic. I do have a small client closet with staples for post-partum mothers.

Will you help style me?

Trust me, I've been at this a LONG $%# time, and there is really nothing a baby can to do phase me one bit! I have a lot of skills to soothe babies as both a veteran mom of three, and a longtime newborn photographer. Think of me as a post-partum doula who takes reallllllly wonderful photographs too.

What if my baby won't cooperate?
q:
I typically plan up to an hour for maternity sessions and up to 2 hours for newborns. While we likely don’t need to be shooting this entire time, this does give us plenty of time to take care of the baby and make sure their needs are met.

How long should we plan for the session to take?
q:
I will curate a beautiful, full gallery combining both posed gently images as well as plenty of guided candids. I do my standard editing and retouching on all images in the gallery. This means that if there are any obvious blemishes that should be removed (such as a bump from the tumble your toddler took that morning,) I’ll take care of it! If you need anything custom edited, just discuss it with me in advance so I can let you know what is realistic and if there might be an additional cost (This is very rare).

Do you include all the digitals?

Almost always in my clients homes, though I do have a studio space in Delaware City, DE just across the line that is a beautiful, bright and neutral space with a living room, bed, and backdrop area if you don't have the space or aesthetic in your home.

Deciding what to do with your photos can be overwhelming.
Life is busy, especially with little ones, and for some of us, DIY does not come easy. There are hundreds of family photos to do something with. I offer complimentary frame and album design so you can spend more time enjoying the images we create and less time feeling guilty that you never got around to making last year's album.

Deciding how to print a gallery wall or album can be really easy to procrastinate when you love so many images. I can walk you through ordering the most bespoke prints and albums to avoid that inevitable decision fatigue with family pictures.
We've done many photo sessions with AnneMarie over the last 2+ years and we are continually impressed and pleased with her work!
