I am so thrilled to be sharing about Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA – one of my favorite locations for maternity photos! Between the location being so convenient for my clients, the vast variety of backgrounds, from indoor options for those cold weather season sessions to the french-inspired gardens, there is so much to love!

The 4 Reasons Why Longwood Gardens is the Perfect Location for Maternity Photos:

Close to Philadelphia, Main Line, Chester County & Wilmington, Delaware

Longwood Gardens, while located in Kennett Square, is conveniently close to Philadelphia, Main Line, Chester County and Wilmington, Delaware expecting moms! Parking is free and transportation is provided from their off-site parking (useful during their peak visitation season!) to the Visitor Center entrance.

Upon arrival, plan to stay for quite some time! Longwood Gardens recommends 3.5-4 hours to experience the entire grounds. Along with their beautiful viewing gardens, you can shop & dine here too! Whether you choose the famous Longwood Gardens Mushroom Soup at The Cafe or opt for a more fine dining experience at their restaurant, 1906, after your maternity photos are completed, enjoy some delicious foods before heading home!

An abundance of fountains, small & large lakes and seasonal florals provide countless and quintessential nooks and crannies that are perfect for focusing on that growing belly & excitement for the newest family addition.

Want to travel to the European side without the passport? My top reason for why I just love Longwood Gardens! Be transported to another world with the Hillside Gardens and Main Fountain Garden. Choose to be surrounded by lush, rare greenery with dappled sun spots or a neutral, magical fountain makes you forget you are just outside Philadelphia!
