AnneMarie Hamant
I don’t photograph beach sessions for how they look in the moment. I photograph them for the way they will feel later on.
For the years ahead when your children are older, louder, busier — and this season feels impossibly far away. For the quiet reminder of who you were together, barefoot and sun-tired, when the days felt long and full but the kids still loved to play.
I’ll guide you when needed and also step back when it matters most. What you’re left with are images that feel like your family and not a version of you trying to behave for the camera.
From outfit guidance to finding a secret stretch of empty beach, I take care of the details so your family can focus on what matters—laughing, exploring, and soaking up your time at the shore.
Serving Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach, and surrounding coastal communities.
Honest photographs to help us remember.
I blinked and my first baby is now taller than me. As a mother of three and a Rehoboth Beach family photographer for almost two decades, I know firsthand how quickly these seasons pass—and how meaningful photographs become with time.
I know how busy life feels, and how much effort family photos can seem to require. That’s why I’ve created a refined, laid-back approach designed to feel fun, natural, and genuinely enjoyable—even with sandy toes and wiggly children.

"IT DIDN'T FEEL LIKE WE WERE POSING for PHOTOS. NOTHING FELT FORCED - which we LOVED."
Annemarie is so kind, easy going, down to earth and just overall exuded such a warm presence. We couldn't have been happier with our experience! She allowed my family and I to just do what felt natural to us.

word
My children are now in the teen years, and I can say with certainty—it all went by too fast. Our family time looks different now, which makes our days together at the beach even more meaningful.
There’s something about the ocean air, the sound of the waves, and bare feet in the sand that helps everyone relax. Beach sessions invite connection without pressure, and those memories only grow more valuable as the years pass.
My goal during your Rehoboth Beach family photo session is to capture images that bring you right back to this season of life, long after the sand has been shaken from your shoes.
The photographs you treasure most won’t be the ones where everyone cooperated perfectly. They’ll be the ones that remind you how it felt to be all together at the beach- even when it’s a crazy season of life.
Want photographs that feel organic and honest
Value connection over perfection
Are more interested in remembering the feeling than posing for the camera
Want to enjoy their beach time rather than manage a photo shoot
I get to work with the most amazing families. I am so glad you're here!
Once you’re booked, I’ll help you plan the details so everything feels easy yet intentional.
You’ll receive guidance on:
+ How to style for what photographs beautifully at the beach (without the matching outfits)
+ Timing for the best light and my favorite locations for calmer stretches of shoreline
+ Choosing the best location to fit your family’s energy and group size
My goal is for you to arrive already feeling at ease.
Beach sessions move at a natural pace.
I always start off with capturing the frameable family portraits first while the kids are fresh. Then we’ll walk, pause, explore, and let kids be kids. I’ll offer gentle direction when needed, but most of the magic happens in the in-between moments—when no one is thinking about the camera.
Extended families and newborns are always welcome. Sessions naturally adjust to accommodate grandparents, brand-new babies, or multiple households traveling together.
Within a few weeks, you’ll receive a curated online gallery of fully edited images.
From there, you can:
+ Download all of the edited images
+ Order professional prints
+ Design heirloom albums meant to be enjoyed year after year
Your gallery is designed to tell the full story of your time together- posed and candid memories.
starting at $1650
+ Planning support and location guidance
+ A one-hour beach session
+ A curated gallery of 75+ fully edited digital images
+ Access to professional print and album offerings
Extended family sessions are welcome. Pricing adjusts based on group size and all details are provided clearly before booking- no surprises.
Extended family sessions combine my expert, playful posing skills with magical use of light to create images of your whole family that you will adore for years to come. I know how to move through family groupings quickly before the kids (or dads) have a chance to meltdown. I include a mix of full group and individual family group posed portraits and then lots of opportunity for my signature connected candids.
Maybe you're taking a vacation as an extended family for the first time in years, or maybe it's an annual tradition. I know getting everyone together can be super stressful, but we all know it means a lot to Mom. Whatever the motive, I promise you an extended family photo session with me is going to be the best time. We are going to laugh, dance, splash- some families even choose to tailgate.
starting at $2000
I'm known for my attention to detail and service. My sessions feel warm and lighthearted, with wardrobe and location guidance to make things stress-free for busy families and large groups.
You don’t need to perform for my photos. I know just how to guide you into those frame-worthy, authentic connections that make you forget you're having pictures taken (even for hesitant spouses).
For those who procrastinate printing their photos like I do putting away the laundry, my complimentary keepsake design makes heirloom prints simple to enjoy, while still having those digitals we all want for our online memories.
“SHE CAPTURED THE SWEETNESS AND SILLINESS of my TWO CHILDREN. I AM IN TEARS.”
She guided us through the shoot, always taking care and patience with my two children. She made it easy for us to smile and laugh and made us comfortable to be our authentic selves so she could capture such stunning photographs.

Summer and early fall dates in Rehoboth Beach book very far in advance, especially for extended families coordinating shared vacation weeks. I strongly recommend reaching out as soon as travel plans are confirmed to secure availability.
Very much so. Extended family beach sessions are one of my specialties. I work efficiently while keeping things relaxed—photographing the full group, individual family units, grandparents with grandchildren, cousins together, and natural interactions in between.
This is where experience truly matters. I’ve been doing this for many years—both as a mother of three and as a professional family photographer—and there’s very little that rattles me.
Beach sessions are movement-based by design. We walk, explore, play, and adjust constantly. I read the energy of each child (and each family) and adapt in real time. Some of the most “chaotic-feeling” sessions end up producing the most meaningful, joy-filled images.
I typically plan up to one hour. While we may not shoot for the full hour, this timeframe gives us flexibility for:
- Younger children warming up
- Large or extended family groupings
- Walking between nearby spots on the beach
Unrushed sessions consistently result in better connection, more natural expressions, and a stronger final gallery.
I don’t guarantee an exact number, but most families receive 70+ fully edited images (often more for extended families). Every gallery is thoughtfully curated to reflect both the group as a whole and the smaller, meaningful connections within it.
Yes. You’ll receive the complete, fully edited gallery—no image selection stress or upselling.
All images receive my standard professional retouching, including removal of temporary blemishes and natural skin refinement. If you need anything custom edited, just let me know in advance so we can discuss expectations (this is very rare).
We stay in close communication as your session approaches. I only reschedule for true storms or unsafe conditions.
If weather looks questionable—but workable—we often adjust the session start time earlier on the same day. This approach preserves light, avoids incoming weather, and—most importantly—minimizes disruption to travel plans for families visiting the beach for a limited time.
Yes. I’ll guide you toward my preferred Rehoboth beach area locations that work best based on:
- Group size
- Mobility needs
- Time of day and lighting
- Crowds and beach access
- My goal is always to balance beauty with ease, especially for extended families.
Absolutely. Styling support is included. You’re welcome to email or text during the planning stage, and I’m happy to help coordinate outfits across multiple families so everything feels cohesive without being overly “matched.”
Yes, you’re welcome to print your images independently. If you do, I recommend choosing a professional-quality printer and disabling any automatic color correction. That said, print quality can vary widely, which is why I also offer professionally produced prints and heirloom products that are color-matched and crafted to last.
Will you help with styling?
Can we print the images ourselves?

Are you experienced with extended families?
Summer and early fall dates in Rehoboth Beach book very far in advance, especially for extended families coordinating shared vacation weeks. I strongly recommend reaching out as soon as travel plans are confirmed to secure availability.
How far in advance should we book?
Life is busy, especially with little ones, and for some of us, DIY does not come easy. There are hundreds of family photos to do something with. I offer complimentary frame and album design so you can spend more time enjoying the images we create and less time feeling guilty that you never got around to making last year's album.
